Su Zeynep Cizem

Su Zeynep Cizem is a Research Assistant at Northeastern University London’s Cybergovernance project, focusing on international relations and the ethical implications of AI. She holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Ethics, where her dissertation examined public perceptions of AI sentience and moral rights. Su also writes a regular column on AI Ethics for Haber 3, an independent Turkish newspaper, addressing the societal impacts of AI technologies. In addition to her research, she has facilitated the AI Ethics, Safety, and Society Course at the Center for AI Safety and recently organized a webinar introducing AI Safety and Ethics to non-technical professionals. Su’s research and public engagements reflect her deep interest in the safe and ethical integration of AI into society. She is particularly interested in how AI technologies influence human morality, social dynamics, and long-term safety in global governance, with a strong commitment to advocating for policies that promote ethical development and usage of AI.
